Eco Maniac Company

Eco Maniac Company is a Virginia Beach, VA based, woman owned and run business on a mission: To help our environment by offering eco-friendly products that can be used and reused in everyday life to help reduce single use plastics.

Eco Maniac Company was started by me, Christina Trapani, with the help of my artist sister, Yvette Kern in March, 2008. I started working with stranded sea turtles and marine mammals in 1998. My job took me all over Virginia's beaches and barrier islands. It quickly became apparent that trash, especially marine debris, can be detrimental to the animals, beaches, environment and ourselves. For more information on single use plastics and other marine debris items, visit our links page

As grocery store reusable bags became more and more popular, I came up with the idea to create some fun designs, hoping to make it more appealing to carry these bags.  Yvette was recruited to come up with some creative designs and ideas and continues to offer input and artwork.  As Eco Maniac Company grows, we are adding more products that are fun, practical and, most importantly, eco-friendly.  Most will help to reduce the consumption of single use plastics.

Since Eco Maniac Company started, I've learned so much about environmental issues, met so many great people and have been involved in many organizations such as Project Green Teens, Virginia Beach Clean Community Commission, Old Beach Green Market, The Fair Trade Festival and have even been a Top 40 Under 40 Honoree.

As a big fan of sea turtles, as well as a non-profit employee, I decided to make Eco Maniac Company a donor and supporter of www.seaturtle.org, a website that supports the conservation and research of the world's sea turtles. The Sea Turtle Page and the Pink Page are the first of what we hope to be many pages who's sales will benefit other non-profits, as well as our planet.

Come back often and see what we're up to! Thanks for your support!
